PROFILE
I like to make jewelry that is provocative and stimulating. My jewelry is not for the timid. I want my jewelry to bring others into the soul of the wearer, and to know who they are by what they wear. The process I use to achieve this end start with materials that always allow you to play - watercolor paper or enamels, stones, beads and of course, the metal. and, being an enamelist, color will always be part of my work. I attend the National Enameling Conference every two years. Not only do the workshops with renowned artist/teachers influence my work, but conference attendees from around the world also bring new concepts to share.
A Ken Bova workshop introduced me to the "Soft-tech" approach to metalsmithing, and time and evolution have brought me to the look you see today. Some do involve enameling, some paper, or just metal corrugation set with stones or glass. They are created with passion, and without boundaries.
